Sunset of the Hearth
The creator of the Sunset Curse, the one who took Merryweather's future, and the owner of a lovely little cafe in the heart of Embarca. She's cunning and takes advantage of whoever she can, courtesy of an immense fear of death. She hasn't left her cafe for years, so she's a little behind the times, only experiencing the outside world vicariously. Mostly no one is aware of her true identity. Dies by getting caught in the blast from the nuke that ended the Embarcan War.
Goldenrod Powerhouse
The youngest Sunset Kid. Incredibly bright for someone at his age, already working as a college professor at the age of 10 due to being rushed through his education before the curse could get to him. He's nice, but stress has made him distant towards others. Avoids the curse via becoming a fairy shortly after Embarca is destroyed, being bound to the ruins of the city; afterwards, he manages to break it.
Prodigy in Spades
The oldest Sunset Kid (by a few days!). He's the only one who's actually attempting to remove the curse, searching for ways to do so— or at least, ways to get Abigail to spare them of it. Arturo's family is full of many well-known mages, so everyone has pretty big expectations for him, most of which he tries to ignore. He has a very calm demeanor but is stubborn and tends to play the hero more often than not. Dies(?) via failing the ritual to becoming a Stardust Mahou and disappearing off the face of the earth.
Two-Tone Hellraiser
The sister of Gary and Reflex Fujirei. She's a people person with a very strong sense of justice, however dubious her powerful connections are and skewed her moral compass may be. Briefly dies by getting her soul destroyed, but quickly steals and overrides another soul, resulting in some convenient side-effects. She soon moved to New North City.
Rhythm, as Above
The brother of Harley and Reflex Fujirei. He gained massive fame as a music producer and DJ, despite all that work coming from his demonic ghost-writer, Reflex. Isn't very smart with his money.
Midday Memory
The final Sunset Kid. As her entire future and identity has been taken by Abby, she just goes by her last name now. She's rather carefree, if a bit annoyed by the presumed pressure that comes with her curse. Avoids death via getting trapped in Hell and gaining immortality, being forced to work as a sort of security guard who retrieves souls escaping from Hell.
Dreaded Progenitor
A former Mahou who ended up beginning a war in another city known as Embarca, before it soon became an irradiated wasteland. Fleeing from the mess, she soon tore off her own tie in a self-awareness-induced panic and began transforming into an alien, losing some control of her regenerative abilities in the process. As far as the public knows, she is dead, with only her human doppelgangers remaining. She has an urban legend-esque reputation as an absolute nightmare of a person, pun intended.
Sterling Silver Ring
A throne angel investigating the frequent unexplained deaths in Embarca. He soon meets Jonathan and occasionally accompanies him in shenanigans. As he has never been to Earth beforehand, he's a little naive.
Rhythm, as Below
The "twin brother" of Gary, who agreed to receive fame and fortune in exchange for his soul. The two work together to maintain an unmistakably large presence in the music scene. Accidentally causes the death of Gary and near-death of his little sister, Harley.
King of Hell
His identity's a little self-explanatory, yeah. A real stuck-up bastard with some serious self-worth issues, he's lost sight of his rebellion against Heaven, alongside most of his hellish cohorts; instead, he's become engrossed in a pursuit for power of any kind. But every now and then he remembers his roots...
Tiger Eye Ring
The stoic head of the thrones and thus Wilson's superior. Xe rarely visits Earth, much like xir subordinate, other than serious emergencies that require their help. They do frequent Hell, however, and will often spar with its denizens.
Archivist of Heaven
A seraph presiding over writing and the past, and Heaven's local historian. Very reclusive, rarely ever leaving their space on their own accord, but more of a smartass than you'd expect from someone so quiet. Doesn't seem very interested in involving themselves in Earth affairs.
Wavebreaker Medic
A former combat medic and sailor, who eventually settled down in an office in Hell some time after falling in battle. Very knowledgeable about human medicine and more supernatural healing practices– most notably, a surefire way to safely remove curses. Has a serene demeanor (most of the time) and takes no issue with healing free-of-charge.
Hidden Color Gamut
The co-founder and current head of The Shattered Hearts Club, an all-Reflection Mahou thieves' guild, who had to kick the other founder out due to abuse of power. She allows Sanguine and Agnes to stay at their hideout during their search for Dorian, but while it was initially out of goodwill, there might be more to it than that...
Prismatic Exile
An elusive outlaw who partners up with Zavier. He's here to have a good time, but said good time probably is a lot less chill than his cohort. That being said, August has become a well-known thief in Lime Hills, and they take pride in that fact— hoping to expand their reputation across the country.
Ascended Earthquake
The reality of a recent urban legend about a new Rep being created at Miskatonic University; Danza is a human sacrifice who was reborn as an otherworldly hybrid. He is generally distrustful of everyone he meets due to That™, but he means well. Danza, despite working alongside Zav and co., doesn't like being associated with Mahou stuff.
Psychic Petty Thief
San's newly-transformed friend, and the distant once-removed cousin of Harley Fujirei. She assisted her during the search for their friend, Dorian, who mysteriously disappeared. Seems to have gained a position as the new leader of local thieves' guild, The Shattered Hearts Club.
Just Some Guy Spatial Blur
Marilan's childhood friend and emergency contact, becoming a Mahou shortly after she does after some convincing. He's pretty down-to-earth and just here to have a chill time and get a free pocket dimension. However, he's no doormat, and will not hesitate to toss you into the abyss if push comes to shove.
Girl from Andromeda
The leader of the Horsemen, setting out to reform (or simply beat the crap out of) Mahous causing any trouble after nearly dying from an attack by one. She's friendly and an unapologetic nerd; however, she's also very ambitious, and that ambition has the potential to make her absolutely terrifying at times.
Traveling Swordsman
The youngest member of the Horsemen and the first to join Mari on her shenanigans. Usually reckless (with some actual naivety), mischievous, and prone to hamming things up. She's very intelligent, just not very wise.
Wind Gamer Girl
The oldest member of the Horsemen and the second to come along, sought out due to her mildly obvious career as a hitman. Very stoic and straightforward as well as somewhat pessimistic, but her kindness and corny sense of humor begin to shine through once you get to know her. Has a soft spot for literally anything, but she'll be damned if she ever admits to it.
Timeline Vessel
The most recently recruited Horseman, sought out due to reports of an entire town frozen in time. Leslie is quiet and calculated, with a ton of snark and a willingness to go headfirst into the unknown; however, she can be rather soft-spoken and anxious at times, whether it be a ruse or otherwise.
Walking Headache
One of Mercedes' colleagues. He's seemingly very chill and laid back with an air of confidence, but has a bit of a quick temper and tends to be passive-aggressive due to some stress with his work as of late. Blues may be doing his own research independent of the lab work, seeking out any remnants of information on Mahous and their patrons.
Rushdown Artificer
One of Mercedes' colleagues. She's working with magic implementations in technology. While Phoebe is just as pressured to make a pseudo-scientific breakthrough as the rest of the trinity, she tries to maintain an optimistic attitude and to encourage the others to relax a bit in order to improve the vibes of the SD wing. However, her enthusiasm is waning.
Miracle Uniting the World
A popular vlogger known as Goodinator or just "Goody" online, and the lead of research on Supernatural Derivation at Miskatonic University. In public and in her videos, she's energetic, thoughtful, and humble despite her competitiveness; but she's a lot more worrisome than people realize, and she's very serious when it comes to her work— as she takes the sole blame for the massive popularity of Mahous. Mercedes tends to isolate herself a lot, and because of that, she sometimes appears a bit more cold and out of touch with other people if she doesn't bother putting on a facade.
Unbreakable Lens/Sleep Paralysis for the Soul
A prominent member of Blaise's fanbase and the one who inadvertently began the rivalry between them and the Goody Fan Club. They're a good friend of Blaise's who often gives the gang info, and seem to have been friends with Mercedes at some point. Also, they may have started this whole Mahou mess. Whoops.
Everlasting Ego Death
A star-like entity from the Andromeda constellation, and Marilan's Rep, unbeknownst to them for the majority of the series. Seems to regard their Rep status and experiences on Earth with mild contempt (no offense to their Mahou), but it's getting used to it.
Man off the Moon
The commander of the Galileo Space Station, who previously worked as a lunar module pilot when they were still human. Was accidentally left behind on the moon, and kept himself alive via magic before eventually transforming into a fairy.
Tides Breaching the Void
A physicist on the Galileo Space Station, as well as an SDDA agent by proxy. This is honestly the first time he's worked with (or even seen) supernatural entities besides Mahous, so admittedly there's a little bit of a culture clash.
Listless Wallflower
A microbiologist on the Galileo Space Station, who has some experience in the medical field. Previously lived as a hermit back in Gettystock due to social anxiety.
Nuclear Mercenary
A meteorologist on the Galileo Space Station, who was a rogue mercenary during the Embarcan War. Pretty hard to work with, for being a flight engineer... or for being chosen to come aboard the station at all...
Return of the King
Dylan's sibling, who was dragged into Hell several years ago and was presumed lost forever, until eventually showing up as a demon. Apparently handles legal agreements for official deals with demons, among other things.
The Intern
An intern within Galileo Mission Control Center, and Renee's "twin" created through unknown means. Nadia has no idea where they came from, nor what they even are, so they've made up a fake background for themselves to avoid any questions.
Note: This character is not canon, but is included here anyways due to the nature of Onboard the Galileo.
Note: This series currently has little to no plot.
Our Hero
An everyman that's been erased from both record and memory, along with the other Templates. She's way too nice for her own good.
Emotional Support Scammer
A designated ally of our hero. She's accepted her fate and is trying to make the best of it, supposedly. She likes to be mysterious and dramatic whenever possible.
Public Enemy #1
An elusive and strangely affable bad omen. Seems to have a bit of a head injury.
Post-Modern Engineer
A scientist raging against the narrative. They don't see themself as part of the plot, making them come off as distant most of the time.
Noone of Importance
A random background extra who has no problems with her worry-free life, since she doesn't need to deal with anything bad for the sake of the narrative. She takes odd jobs frequently.
Note: This character is not canon, and only exists within Royabb.
Last One Standing
The star of Waypoint World Tour. Woke up in the wilderness with no memories and no civilization to be seen. Eventually makes her way far enough to end up in another region, joining the CCSMP. Normally very aloof and somewhat rude, but can be tripped up and made a fool of easily, due to little experience with human interaction.
Ripples of an Unknown Age
A designated nomad floating on the ruins of a flooded earth. Unfortunately, she has a terrible case of thalassophobia. She's looking for any safe havens left, or possibly a way to leave the planet entirely. She's quite meek and a little strange.
Living Lasso Tool
Some artsy hermit living in a small cottage way up in the mountains. Will help you find a safe place or the way home if you happen to be lost, but intentionally bothering her can lead to dire consequences. Despite seldom leaving her home, she likes to explore– it's why she knows these mountaintops like the back of her hand.
Instant Globetrotter
A traveler taking a gap year or two, or two hundred. As one would expect from someone who can teleport anywhere in the world, they're very well-versed in many different things and have a lot of stories to tell– they're often at bars and restaurants being a storyteller for the other patrons. Even so, they're very closed-off emotionally.
The Sauce
Wuhu Fun Fact: 5 minutes remain.
Secret Kitchen Sink
An informant with details on practically anyone that she's come across, and an utter disregard for privacy. She has a consistently grating personality, but bleeding through it is an intense lack of hope for humanity.
Load-Bearing Workplace Hazard
A simultaneously competent and incompetent engineer working for a top-secret agency. She's very good at what she does, but terrible at doing it alongside others, often to a genuinely dangerous degree.
Lord of the Abyss
The god of elevator music, and many other things. Extremely adverse to human interaction, or any other interaction for that matter.
Spectacled Dynamo
The bartender of... The Bar. Was cursed by a mask that's nigh-impossible to remove, which slowly corrupts the user. Usually affable, if a bit quiet, but it quickly becomes apparent how brash and impulsive they can be.
Dynamo Replica
ABB Classic's replacement droid of unknown origin, for when she needs a break from the counter. Blurp is frankly very bitter about its current situation, and at its employer, but continues to work there until it can find a better opportunity for itself. It's, as one would expect, usually quite calm and a voice of reason.
Shot in the Dark
A call center worker by day, a (paintball) sniper for a rebellion against a corrupt government by night. Also a surprisingly good singer. Easily irritable and generally pretty unfun to be around, unfortunately, but she'll get better in due time...
Festival Eyesore
An illegal DJ for a speakeasy dedicated to unchecked showcases of the arts. Due to her position, she is able to gain information pertinent to the rebellion her sister is involved with.
Private Evil Eye
A methodical magical girl detective who can tap into the power of urban legends. Moving away from her recent past of terrorizing her small hometown, she's determined to get to the bottom of the corruption beneath its surface.
Melting Obscura
A mild-mannered reporter for Skyline News, an exceedingly normal news group for an exceedingly normal city. She goes with the flow quite easily, letting meteorological anomalies roll off her like acid on a duck's back.
The World's Most Dangerous Gag Character
An enigmatic and mildly irritating contestant of Battle Royabb. He's very concerned about keeping the event life and his personal life separate.
A virtual reality user given superhuman perception (read: pumped full of adrenaline) as well as modded abilities by their best hackerman friend, Delta, in order to manipulate the program and obtain free stuff for people who can't afford it. Has recently started giving data to Delta in order to train MOHEJI, a neural network AI with the goal to overload the VR servers and really mess up its resources. A daredevil with an appreciation for art, but very reclusive in real life.
MOHEJI's creator, and a former Virtual Plaza moderator who became a notorious hacker soon after leaving. They've made it their life goal to undermine the megacorporation that runs Virtual Plaza. Pretty humorless and a little paranoid (for good reason, I suppose), but clearly trusts Alias and acts a bit more genuine towards them.
An AI-run botting software tasked with overloading and stealing from the various servers within Virtual Plaza. Said AI learns from the movements of Alias, both to appear at least relatively human when in the presence of moderation, and to be as efficient and server-crashy as possible. It also happens to have the heavily mangled, perpetually cheerful, and possibly self-aware copied personality of Delta, making it unnerving for Alias to work with when he encounters it.
